Tim Tszyu vs. Tony Harrison: Weigh-in results from world title bout in Sydney

The WBO interim world super welterweight title fight between Tim Tszyu and Tony Harrison is official after both fighters gained weight in Sydney on Saturday.

Tszyu was the first fighter on the scale at the official weigh-in while his American opponent was last, although both weighed in under the 69.9kg mark.

Harrison had suggested Tszyu’s lips looked white after the pair faced off at Friday’s press conference, while the unbeaten Australian described the former WBC champion as “hungry”.

In the end, both men and the entire undercard successfully made weight, paving the way for one of the biggest cards in recent Australian history to be held at the Qudos Bank Arena on Sunday March 12th.

After an intense duel at the ceremonial weigh-in, the more experienced Harrison suggested unmasking Tszyu when it came time for a fight.

“Have you ever seen a rottweiler bite a chihuahua? It’s just a different breed of dog,” Harrison said.

“I think you’ve all seen your dog bite all the other Chihuahuas.

“He hasn’t met a Rottweiler yet. Until you all see that, you haven’t seen the real fighter.”
