Tottenham Hotspur vs. Leicester City: Match Thread and How to Watch

The final international break before the Winter World Cup is here, but Tottenham Hotspur host Leicester City before everyone disperses for a couple of weeks.

Spurs are looking for answers after a 2-0 Champions League defeat by Sporting. Despite the setback, Spurs are still in great form in both the Premier League and Champions League. When this thread goes live we will know if Spurs could overtake Arsenal as they start the weekend in Brentford. (AUTHOR’S NOTE: Oops, yes they don’t play until tomorrow) Antonio Conte was in good spirits despite the loss and went so far as to say the likes of Yves Bissouma, Oliver Skipp and Matt Doherty will be more in the mix after the international break .

Meanwhile, Leicester City is caught in a death spiral. The Foxes are the last dead, a dot to their name, and have lost their last five league games. Brendan Rodgers has publicly called Leicester City board over the lack of summer business as if trying to finish second in the sacked speedrun behind Scott Parker. Still, these games are always weird, but Spurs are by far the better side and need to smash them for some positive momentum.

Match thread rules

The match thread rules are the same as always. All visitors who come here for the first time, welcome! We’re glad you’re here! Wipe your feet, pay attention to the gap, and be sure to check out the other sides of this standout. While you’re here, however, we have a few rules and regulations:

  • Absolutely no links to illegal streams. They are bad and they get us in trouble. Violators will be warned or blocked.
  • We have rules against “relentless negativity.” Nobody likes a negative Nancy. Don’t pull yourself together and don’t post edgy or hurtful things just because you’re frustrated.
  • In this sense, direct abuse of players or game officials is not permitted. It’s okay to say, “Wow, that was a really bad call,” but it’s NOT okay to berate the officer in question for a call you didn’t like.
  • Treat other people in the match thread like you would want someone else to treat your grandmother. Be nice. This is a community of fans, not an unmoderated forum.
  • Finally, while we don’t have a policy against profanity, please try to keep rude words at bay. Also language that is sexist, racist, transphobic or homophobic in nature will be quickly deleted and you will be banned immediately. This is an open, supportive community.

Have fun and COYS!
