Schumer calls Tucker Carlson’s January 6 release of footage ‘shameful’
Tucker Carlson further doubled down on his defense of the Capitol rioters in the latest installment of his Fox News show on Thursday, interviewing “Q Shaman” Jacob Chansley’s mother and attorney to insist he was wronged about his role in prison attack, arguing that Black Lives Matter activists injured more police officers during protests than the election deniers.
He also lashed out at transgender people, accusing them of taking over International Women’s Day and, during an interview with Tulsi Gabbard, pushed for a Russian propaganda line blaming NATO for the destruction of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
Mr Carlson was branded “shameful” by the White House after he selectively edited footage of the March 6 attack on the US Capitol on Monday night to argue that the uprising was “peaceful” and that its participants were just “sightseers”.
The feature sparked an uproar on both sides of the aisle as the Capitol Police Chief and both Senate Majority and Minority leaders came together to condemn Mr Carlson’s twist on the incident, which left five dead and has now killed more than 1,000 lives have been charged.
The controversy coincided with the release of the latest filings in Dominion Voting Systems’ $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News, which revealed, among other things, Mr Carlson told a colleague in a bombshell text that he hated Donald Trump “passionately”. News.

The BLM protest was an “Antifa” plot to “force Trump out of office,” claims Tucker Carlson
On his show late Wednesday, the Fox News host said that Antifa “came down to Washington, DC to force the incumbent president out of office,” referring to the 2020 protests. “But it was Trump, so that’s cool,” he said.
Carlson has also made problematic comments about the BLM movement in the past.

Schumer calls McCarthy “January 6 denier” after Tucker Carlson Capitol riot videos
Senator Chuck Schumer has called House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s response to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson’s account of the Capitol riots “peaceful” and called him a “January 6 denier.”
“Those of us who were here on Jan. 6 know the attack was a violent insurrection – including Speaker McCarthy,” Mr. Schumer tweeted. “Every leader on Capitol Hill did the right thing to spread Fox News’ lies — with the exception of Speaker McCarthy.”
He added: “The speaker came out as a January 6th denier.”

Former Fox host Gretchen Carlson joins the pile against her old network after her star host Tucker Carlson predictably used exclusive access to Jan. 6 security footage to falsely portray the attack on Congress as a peaceful protest.
Ms Carlson, who is unrelated to her former colleague, furiously denounced the network and criticized the station’s journalists for reporting Mr Carlson’s remarks and the resulting backlash as if they were somehow detached from the situation .

Capitol Police Chief accuses Tucker Carlson of using “picked” footage
The primetime presenter even faced criticism from the Capitol Police, the organization whose officers suffered most from Carlson’s ideological allies on the day they stormed the US Capitol and attempted to stop certification of the 2020 election.
It all started with an episode of Carlson’s show that aired Monday night, the first of a series of footage of the Jan. 6 attack made available exclusively to its producers by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, who is now of the Ridicule on the left and some of his own Republicans for the apparent effort to throw a bone to the far right and allow Carlson to be the first to share the footage.
