UFC 284: Islam Makhachev vs. Alexander Volkanovski weigh-in results

The main event of UFC 284 will determine who holds the UFC Lightweight Title. Depending on who wins, this could get interesting for the co-main event winner.

Islam Makhachev will defend the UFC lightweight title against world featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski on February 11. UFC 284 will be held at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.

Makhachev made his professional debut in 2010. Makhachev joined the UFC in 2010 and is on a ten-fight win streak. He last fought in October, beating Charles Oliveira via submission to win the vacant UFC lightweight title.

Volkanovski turned pro in 2012. He joined the UFC in 2016 and is up 12-0. Volkanovski beat Max Holloway for the 2019 UFC featherweight title and has defended the belt four times. Now he is ready to become a double champion.

The co-main event will be Yair Rodriguez against Josh Emmett for the interim UFC featherweight title. Rodriguez turned pro in 2011 and won The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America tournament in 2014. In his last six fights he is 3-2 with a no contest. Emmett made his pro debut in 2011. Since joining the UFC in 2016, he is currently on a five-fight win streak.

Volkanovski is expected to face off against the co-main event winner sometime this year.
