Missing No More: How to Find MissingN in Vampire Survivors 0.11.3

At first glance there isn’t much in patch 0.11.3, especially compared to the last patch. There is a new achievement for reaching level 99 with Poe that rewards the final arcana, Blood Astronomia (see below).

Poe is an easy character to unlock – fully upgrade the garlic weapon – and while he’s not the strongest survivor in the game due to his low starting health, you shouldn’t have any real problems reaching level 99 with him.

If you unlocked the Secrets menu a few patches ago, you’ll also discover a new entry in its menu: “With the direst fate in Green Acres, run from the edge of the world.” As usual, this is vague enough to be practical to be useless, but it should give you an idea of where to start.

In order to reveal this secret, you must have found the relic of the Yellow Shield in the Moongolow phase; You must purchase the max curse rank in the in-game power-up menu. and you must enter the Green Acres challenge phase in both Hyper and Rush modes.

It’s a good idea to pick a character with a decent starting movement speed – Krochi, Cosmo, or Christine all start with a nice bonus for that stat; If you’ve got Big Trouser, he’s great here too – and a build that lets you move around without constantly bumping into enemies. Something like Garlic/Holy Bible at high speed/quantity is helpful here.

Once you’re in Green Acres and have a few levels under your belt, take off southwest as fast as you can. You want to get to a point where the marker showing the location of the gold ring is pointing directly east of your current position.

Eventually, if you have met all the necessary conditions, the screen will “fail out” in a very 80’s-ish manner.

After that, you’re in a new phase of sorts with a new tileset that mixes up a bit from every other phase in the game.

You’ll also be attacked by a tough new enemy, an angelic eyeball sort of thing that can take real punishment for bringing it down.

Once you’ve killed enough of the Angels’ Eyeballs, return to Green Acres and the stage will resume normally.

Next time you are in your character select screen you can buy MissingN. It costs a a lot of – In my almost maxed out game, the MissingN unlock cost 313330 gold – so you might need to do some farming before you can afford it.

Heaven or Hell

Before Patch 0.11.3, the only way to get MissingN was to hack your save file, as it should be Pokemon Red and Blue Non-monster it is named after. It starts with either the ax or the death spiral, which are chosen at random.

In addition, MissingN’s launch stats are all difficult randomized, to the point where it can actually destroy parts of the game. You can end up with endgame levels of a certain stat, or receive negative amounts from it, to the point where your run becomes severely hampered, if not impossible.

In particular, it’s possible for MissingN to start the level with a max health in the negative range, meaning it’s invincible. You can have a MoveSpeed below -100%, which reverses your movement controls; or your curse can be so low that no enemies spawn at all. MissingN is essentially not meant to exist, and its stats reflect that.

-110% Cooldown with -181% Movement Speed: My controls are swapped, but they are there Axles absolutely everywhere.

Blood will tell

Blood Astronomia is another late-game arcana vs this doesn’t feel like it allows for a bonus, but rather opens up a new kind of playstyle.

When Blood Astronomia is equipped, several weapons now do, which normally don’t scale with your crowd stat as they automatically generate different types of damage zones when activated. These include Garlic, Pentagram, Laurel, Clock Lancet, Song of Mana and their respective evolutions.

For example, the laurel now triggers a timed explosion when its shield regenerates.

A third silent addition to the game with 0.11.3 is an evolved candybox, the Super Candybox II Turbo. At the time of writing it appears to be unlocked at the same time as the basic candybox.

When it appears, the SC2T will allow you to choose from a list of evolved weapons in the game, which at the time of writing does not include the Sole Solution, Crimson Shroud, or Infinite Corridor.

Whatever you choose, it will automatically replace its predecessor when it’s in your inventory. For example, if you get the Death Spiral from an SC2T when you already have an axe, it will replace the axe.
