Wild Hearts is full of materials that will help you become a better hunter. One such material is Pointed Scales, a resource essential for upgrading or crafting weapons and armor. Here’s how to find Pointed Scales and how to get them.

There are many ways to increase your power as a hunter in Wild Hearts, whether it’s through gaining skills as a player, better armor, or upgrading your weapons. While we can’t help all that much with the skill, we can help with the level-up – particularly those in need of Pointed Scales.

In this open world game published by EA, players will find that they need Pointed Scales to further improve their equipment. Unfortunately, there aren’t many explanations on how to find this elusive material. That’s why we’ve put together everything you need to know about finding the resource in Wild Hearts.

Pointed Scales location in Wild Hearts

Hunt the Nightshade and Shard Monitor Lizards to obtain Pointed Scales.

You can find Pointed Scales in two places, Akikure Gorge and Fort Fuyufusagimaking it material you can only find after completing chapter one.

Unfortunately, getting Pointed Scales isn’t as easy as some of the other resources. You’ll need to mine a kemono instead of simply harvesting it from a wall or the ground, so make sure you’re ready for a fight.

Once you’re in either location, keep an eye out for both Nightshade monitor lizards (in Akikure Canyon) or Shardshower monitor lizards (in Fort Fuyufusagi). If you hunt these creatures and harvest them afterwards, you’ll get some pointy scales.

They shouldn’t be too tough a fight with the right karakuri and weapon by your side.
