Wolves vs Tottenham – LIVE!

Tottenham need to recover from midweek disappointment when they take on Wolves this afternoon. The FA Cup defeat to Sheffield United saw Spurs eliminated from the competition in the fifth round for a fourth straight season and they face another trophy-less season unless they can pull off a shock run in the Champions League lay down

Cristian Stellini will once again be in charge of the dugout, for the last time before Antonio Conte returns. Despite their inconsistent form across all competitions, Spurs have won four of their last five Premier League games, a run that sees them fourth in the table.

Wolves are without a win in three games, which has slowed the momentum under Julen Lopetegui. They are 15th going into the weekend but just three points from the relegation zone and only Everton have fewer league goals this season. Emerson Royal will be back for this afternoon’s game after recovering from injury.

The Brazilian missed the FA Cup fifth round defeat by Sheffield United in midweek with a minor knee problem but is likely to return to the starting XI this afternoon at Molineux in place of Pedro Porro, who was signed in January.

Cristian Stellini and Antonio Conte made six changes at Bramall Lane but will also remember Cristian Romero, Oliver Skipp, Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane here.

Davinson Sanchez, Pape Matar Sarr, Lucas Moura and either Heung-min Son or Richarlison will be out, with Stellini insisting on Friday there were no new injury concerns.

Ben Davies is also likely to switch from centre-back to left-back, where he has been stable in victories over West Ham and Chelsea, with Clement Lenglet returning to the back three and Ivan Perisic falling to the bench.

Tottenham predicted XI (3-4-3): Ranger; Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Emerson, Skip; Hojbjerg, Davies; Kulusevski, Richarlison, Kane.

Wolves are currently plagued by a number of injury concerns but hope Matheus Cunha, who was signed in January, can make a quick return from an ankle problem.

Mali midfielder Boubacar Traore should also return soon after suffering a groin problem, although striker Hwang hee-Chan is still out with a hamstring injury.

Winger Chiquinho is in the early stages of his comeback from knee problems, Sasa Kalajdzic was absent for a long time and Spain full-back Hugo Bueno had to be substituted in the first half at Anfield in the middle of the week with a hamstring injury.
