Gold and Silver Prices Today: After trading in the red on Wednesday, the yellow metal was little changed on Thursday after a slew of economic data fueled investor concerns that interest rates around the world could remain higher for longer than expected. Both gold and silver were trading on the downside of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on March 2, 2023.

Gold futures due April 5 fell Rs 15 to Rs 55,815 per 10 grams, while silver futures due May 5 fell Rs 72 to Rs 64,460 per 1kg on the MCX.

Gold prices in the state capital rose by Rs 475 to Rs 55,955 per 10 grams on Wednesday amid strong global trends, according to HDFC Securities. The precious metal had ended at Rs 55,480 per 10 grams in previous trade. Silver, however, plummeted Rs.1,225 to Rs.63,825 per kg.

International gold and silver prices

Spot gold was at $1,836.69 an ounce at 0046 GMT after hitting a one-week high on Wednesday. US gold futures were down 0.1 percent to $1,843.40. Spot silver was flat at $20.99 an ounce.
