2022 Supercars Bathurst 1000 – Start time, how to watch, channel & more
It’s a bumper field for the 2022 Great Race, with the 25 regulars joined by wildcard entrants from Triple Eight, Erebus Motorsport and Matt Chahda Motorsport.
Shane van Gisbergen, the leader of the runaway series, will be the all-time favorite to head to Mount Panorama alongside four-time Bathurst 1000 winner Garth Tander.
Whatever reigning Bathurst champion Chaz Mostert has to say about it, the Walkinshaw Andretti United driver has paired with the experienced Fabian Coulthard this year.
The two cars of Dick Johnson Racing and Tickford’s Cam Waters and James Moffat are also among the contenders for Great Race glory.
Track action takes place over four days, with Supercars hosting the first of six practice sessions on Thursday morning.
The on-air crew will include Mark Beretta, Mel McLaughlin, Jack Perkins, Brad Hodge, Emma Freedman and Chris Stubbs, among others.
When is Bathurst 1000?
The first of six Supercars practice sessions begins Thursday at 11:00 a.m. AEDT, followed by a second practice session at 3:55 p.m. AEDT.
Two more practice sessions will take place on Friday at 10:10am AEDT and 1:00pm AEDT before grid positions 11-28 will be determined by a 40-minute qualifying session starting at 4:15pm AEDT.
Practice will continue on Saturday with sessions at 10:20am AEDT and 1:00pm AEDT before pole position and the remaining front five rows will be determined by the famous top 10 shootout beginning at 17:05pm AEDT .
There will be a brief warm-up on Sunday at 8am AEDT before the 2022 Bathurst 1000 begins at 11:15am AEDT.

Mainstream broadcaster Fox Sports and free-to-air partner Seven Network are sharing live TV coverage of the 2022 Bathurst 1000.
On Thursday, coverage will be limited to Fox Sports, with broadcasts beginning at 7:25 a.m. AEDT.
On Friday, Fox Sports coverage begins at 7:45 a.m. AEDT and Seven coverage begins at 10 a.m. AEDT.
On Saturday, Fox Sports’ coverage begins at 8:10 a.m. AEDT and Seven’s coverage begins at 10:00 a.m. AEDT.
