2024 Audi Q5 Shows Off More Production Details In Latest Spy Shots

As the most popular vehicle in its lineup, the next-generation Q5 is a crucial model for Audi. Now we finally get to see a little more of what the automaker has in store for us thanks to a new set of spy photos.

Although the Q5 is still cloaked in camouflage, these photos offer us new insights into the vehicle’s exterior design. Importantly, we can see more of the light signature that will no doubt be its main feature.

A sliver of an LED headlight is barely visible here, poking through the camouflage, showing us that the Q5 will have an eyebrow of DRL over the main lighting elements. The light forms a thick, straight line that extends from the side panel to the top of the grille, with a break in the middle.

Out back, the broken line is repeated, this time where the hatch meets the rest of the body. Whether the Q5 will get a light bar that extends across the entire rear remains to be seen.

What you see here are real, honest tailpipes, but as this is still a pre-production model things are subject to change. At the moment, both test cars have two tailpipes – one with two small tailpipes on the same side and the other with a wide pipe on either end of the rear bumper.

Earlier photos of the crossover revealed that it will have a tech-heavy dashboard with a large, high-mounted touchscreen alongside a relatively small instrument cluster behind the steering wheel.

Based on the same MLB Evo platform that underpins everything from the next-gen A4 to the current A8, Audi will have the ability to squeeze a ton of tech into the Q5. Although Audi has yet to reveal what powertrains will be under the hood, a range of gas, diesel and plug-in hybrid options are expected.
