He completes just 59.4% of his passes and ranks 25th in expected extra points for the quarterback. Now Wilson is out and facing a Chargers defense that’s much better at stopping the pass than the run. The Chargers rank 12th in the DVOA for passing defense, allowing 237.6 passing yards per game.
The Broncos will use their rushing attack for yards and prevent Wilson from making mistakes. Also, Russ’s injured lat muscle or whatever excuse they’re using for his poor play could slow him down even more.
