How to access the DLC costumes in Persona 5 Royal
Players start first Persona 5 Royal should download the game’s DLC pack from the PlayStation Store. This DLC is completely free, but the associated costumes cannot be accessed directly at the beginning of the game. Instead, players have to go through the game a bit before they can play around in the main character’s room. A large chest can be opened from there, where players will equip the various costumes given to them by the DLC.
The DLC includes costumes for all party members, with threads highlighted during battle sequences. These range from tracksuits for gym classes to costumes Federman (a tribute to super sentai) and numerous tributes to other games in the Shin Megami Tensei Franchise. These references extend beyond clothing, however, as there are also musical cues and even stat changes.
