Al-Dosari stressed the importance of community sport, which is an important vehicle to achieve these goals through three axes. Second is the counseling axis, which is achieved through collaboration with partners from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), which has equipped about 30 centers in the country for comprehensive medical examinations. The third axis is practice, which involves awareness and “a sense of responsibility towards yourself, your family and society,” al-Dosari added, to encourage everyone to work with family members and colleagues to participate in sporting activities. The official also highlighted the Qatar Sports for All (QSFA) Federation calendar, which features 683 sporting activities throughout the year, the largest the federation has launched since its inception. He said the goal is to raise public awareness of the importance of playing sport, especially as QSFA’s sporting events target different segments of society and utilize the state’s sporting facilities. An example of this would be the fitness center (arena) in Lusail, which is dedicated to women’s activities and takes place in complete privacy. He added that QSFA strives to showcase sports venues, activities and events through the association’s application to allow subscribers to receive awareness news and receive a medical report on obesity and biometrics in cooperation with the Ministry of Health. Al-Dosari thanked all the partners who contributed to the implementation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s plan for this year’s National Sports Day.
