Milton Keynes Dons 0-1 Ipswich Town

Ipswich skipper Sam Morsy fired the pursuit of League One promotion to a 1-0 win at relegation-threatened MK Dons.

Dons started brilliantly as Jonathan Leko saw Luke Woolfenden clear a try off the line before Christian Walton made a good double save to keep Sullay Kaikai away.

Mursy shot the visitors in the front with a fine 20-yard shot in the 26th minute.

After the break, goalkeeper Jamie Cumming Morsy denied a second when Nathan Broadhead missed with his rebound.

And the Dons stopper parried even better to tip George Hirst’s goal over the bar.

Wes Burns was only able to nod the resulting corner from Leif Davis past the front post.

Cumming was again about to knock Conor Chaplin’s left-foot shot out of harm’s way at the near post just after the hour mark.

Town kept pounding on the door as Cumming Davis parried a hard-hitting effort before Josh McEachran cleared a Broadhead header off the line.
