Constance Marten latest: Missing aristocrat and Mark Gordon arrested as police search for baby

Police have arrested missing aristocrat Constance Marten and her partner Mark Gordon in Brighton after weeks of searching.

However, an operation to locate her newborn baby is still ongoing, the Metropolitan Police said.

The couple were located by officers from Sussex Police in Stanmer Villas, Brighton, on Monday night after a member of the public reported seeing them just before 9.30pm.

Police are searching Brighton to find Constance Marten’s baby this morning after she was found without the baby.

The runaway aristocrat and her boyfriend, a convicted sex offender, have been arrested after being tracked down alone in Brighton.

Officials have expressed concern for the baby’s health amid increasingly chilly conditions.

According to Detective Superintendent Lewis Basford, the search is focused on the area where the couple was found.

Gordon served 20 years in US prison for rape and assault at the age of 14.

It is not known if her baby was term or has health problems.

The Metropolitan Police have asked for the public’s assistance as they continue to search for the one-month-old baby of aristocrat Constance Marten and her partner Mark Gordon.
