Queen Camilla has fans saying the same thing after latest royal update

Queen Camilla got fans talking on Friday when she was captured in the weekly royal recap on the royal family’s official Instagram.

King Charles and Queen Camilla’s team shared a series of sweet photos from their exciting engagements this week. The Queen was the featured image in the post and looked stunning in a blue dress she wore to host a reception for King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium at Windsor Castle.

Alongside the post were the words: “Royal week from 3rd to 9th June 2023. Fans unanimously commented that not only did the Queen look gorgeous in her summer ensemble, but she also blended brilliantly into her new royal role. “The Queen looks gorgeous in this color,” wrote one fan.

A second added: “Queen Camilla is a great addition to the royal family. I love her’, alongside a red love heart emoji. A third wrote: “Being queen suits Camilla! She’s never looked better!”

Other photos in the update showed other members of the royal family in their element. Princess Kate looked fantastic as she was filmed playing rugby at Maidenhead Rugby Club on Thursday, where she was visiting to talk about her Shaping Us campaign and the community’s role in supporting children.

Not shying away from a sporty ensemble, Kate rocks baby slim-fit jogging pants with an elasticated waistband and slightly cropped silhouette. She paired the trousers with a water-colored English rose T-shirt and a pair of white trainers – perfect for showing off her sporting skills on the pitch.

Another photo in the synopsis showed Camilla at a reception at Clarence House to celebrate her new role as Colonel in the Royal Lancers. The new title has a very special meaning for the Queen, whose father Bruce Shand served as a lieutenant in the 12th Lancers and fought in World War II.

Bruce originally served in France and helped organize the evacuation from Dunkirk and later fought in North Africa during the war. In 1942 Bruce was captured by German forces and held as a prisoner of war at Oflag IX-A/H near Spangenberg Castle for the remainder of the war.

Speaking to 99-year-old veteran Michael de Burgh about the special family connection, Camilla said, “My father just longed for me to be associated with this regiment and here I am.” She also presented the war veteran with the buchan -Medal commemorating his support for the regiment. Michael is just one day away from his 100th birthday and as a special birthday present Camilla gave him her father’s memories of his time in the army.
