After the New York Knicks’ latest signing, everyone said the same thing.

The Knicks agreed to a four-year, $50 million deal with Donte DiVincenzo on Saturday. The deal reunites DiVincenzo with two of his former college teammates, Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.

DiVincenzo and Brunson both played three seasons at Villanova from 2015-2018 and won two championships. Hart played four seasons at Villanova from 2014 to 2017 and won the 2016 championship with his teammates.

The addition of DiVincenzo had everyone saying the Knicks would become a Villanova roster.

Of course, there were some people who then joked that former Villanova manager Jay Wright would replace Tom Thibodeau as the side’s next manager.

Thibodeau has had success managing the Knicks, while Wright appears uninterested in returning to coaching. But if anything could lure him out of retirement, it might be coaching his former college players.

Now the Knicks just have to lure Mikal Bridges out of Brooklyn and they’re going to be fine.
