Doctor Surprises the Entire Sporting World After His Announcement to Swim Michigan Lake to Raise Money For a Great Cause
A West Michigan doctor prepares for an extraordinary challenge as he prepares to swim across Lake Michigan to raise funds for a local water sports center. In an incredible act of kindness and humanity, Dr. Bryan Huffman Swim 51 miles across the lake.
The Remarkable Achievement of Doctor Incredibles
dr Huffman is a fitness enthusiast himself and has previously completed several marathons. He wants to start the marathon in Rawley Point, Wisconsin and finish in Ludington, and anticipates it will take about a month.

“We would like to give swimming lessons for children,said Dr. huffman “We live here in West Michigan, there is water everywhere. As a kid growing up here, you can’t help but be exposed to water somewhere.”
Huffman, a well-respected figure in the area, targeted this frightening swim to raise awareness of the importance of water features and their impact on the community. With this remarkable achievement he wants to inspire others and gain support for the construction and development of the Holland Aquatic Centre.
Swim for a bigger cause
Huffman’s decision to undertake this momentous swim stems from his deep understanding of the positive impact that aquatic centers can have on the community. He is raising funds for the water sports center to make it accessible to all children in the community and teach them an important skill.
The Holland Aquatic Center manager also echoed Huffman’s thoughts, saying: “Teaching swimming lessons is really at the heart of what we’ve been doing here for decades.”
“And we do that for everyone, regardless of their financial situation or their origin, where they come from. We want to serve all people.”
Hundreds of kids could get swimming lessons because of what people like to call “Bryan’s great swim.”
Huffman is no stranger to endurance sports, having completed marathons and triathlons. However, due to the vastness and unpredictable nature of the lake, this particular swim presents a whole different level of difficulty.

“In October I swam across the English Channel, we went to England to go swimming. It is about 22 miles in diameter. It’s a tough swim. It’s 12 hours and 19 minutes.”
While this swim won’t be easier, he’s looking forward to taking on the challenge.
“The goal here is really to raise money to make a difference here for West Michigan and hopefully get drowning off the list of the top 10 killers of children in West Michigan.said Dr. huffman
