Antonio Conte will prepare to return to the San Siro touchline when Tottenham take on AC Milan in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday.
Conte has waived medical advice by traveling with his side 11 days after having his gallbladder removed, but it’s understandable that the former Inter Milan head coach would want to take a more active role after his side left Leicester City with 4th place in the Premier League : 1 was hammered league on Saturday.
Stefano Pioli’s Milan clinched the Serie A title from Inter last season but have been in dismal form since the turn of the year, ending a seven-game winless slump at the weekend by beating Torino 1-0.
