AFL23 game: Release date, price, consoles, modes, commentators
The AFL23 video game release date has been confirmed and fans of Australia’s biggest sport will have to wait until April 13th.
JB Hi-Fi is now offering pre-orders for $79 for Playstation, Xbox and PC players to secure.
The AFL game has welcomed back developer Big Ant Studios, who have worked tirelessly to deliver another Australian rules game that, for the first time since, connects fans and players alike AFL Live in 2011.
Screenshots showed a first look at the AFLW in action and it was confirmed that they will join the 18 men’s clubs in the game.
It also revealed the game’s features, which will include a management career mode.
The game will also integrate over 1200 AFL and AFLW players with “motion-captured animations, photorealistic likenesses, detailed abilities, and unique player traits backed by champion data.”
The commentary team has a new look from previous games. Anthony Hudson and Hamish McLachlan lead the group, joined by Daisy Pearce, Daniel Harford, Kelli Underwood and Jason Bennett.
AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial Kylie Rogers expressed her excitement about the new game.
“We are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of AFL 23, with some exciting game-related announcements to come over the coming weeks,” said Rogers.
“The AFL 23 game is a key asset for the AFL to connect with our fans off the field – and we look forward to working with Big Ant Studios to deliver the most exciting and authentic AFL gaming experience yet. “
