Angus Cloud latest news: Euphoria cast pay tribute to Fezco star after actor dies aged 25

Angus Cloud narrowly avoided death in 2013 after falling into a construction pit.

The late Euphoria star suffered a brain injury during the incident. He was approximately 14 years old at the time.

Cloud was left with slowed speech following the incident.

Last year, the late actor spoke to Variety about his accident, revealing that he peeled off from a group of friends who were walking through downtown Oakland, where he grew up. Alone and in the dark, he didn’t notice the construction pit in front of him until he was already falling.

“I woke up 12 hours later at the bottom,” he said. “I was trapped. I eventually climbed out after – I don’t know how long. It was hella hard to climb out, because my skull was broken, but my skin wasn’t, so all the bleeding was internal, pressing up against my brain. But they wasn’t gonna find me down there. I found myself. Or God found me, whatever you want to call it.”

Cloud said that he took the bus to his mother’s house after making it out of the pit where he “started throwing up hella mouthfuls of crimson red blood. Shit was crazy. So then my mama took me to the children’s hospital, and they saved my life.

“They cut my head open, they put some screws and a plate over where I broke my skull and – shit, sealed me back up, and that was that.”

HBO said in a statement that Cloud “was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”

Gigi Hadid paid tribute to Angus Cloud on Monday (31 July), writing: “Just saw the news about the loss of Angus.

“I only got to work with him a couple of times, but I was immediately drawn to his kind, gentle spirit. My deepest condolences to his closest and loved ones.

“May he rest in peace.”

Along with her message, Hadid also shared a video of her and Cloud dancing together.

“Angus Cloud had so much talent and life to live,” Greta Van Fleet wrote in an Instagram post. “I am so heartbroken to hear of his passing.

“Mental health is so real and important. Please know that you are not alone. Never be afraid to message me if you ever need a friend. Someone to listen.

“You never know what someone is dealing with alone in silence. Please be kind to one another and yourself. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. May Angus Rest In Peace.”

“Rest easy, fam,” Oakland Roots Sports Club wrote on Twitter. “We are heartbroken by the news about Angus Cloud.

“He was a day one supporter and an Oakland legend. You will be missed. We extend our deepest love to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
