Army vs. Georgia State live stream online, odds, channel, prediction, how to watch on CBS Sports Network

Week 5 of the college football season kicked off Thursday and the action continues throughout the weekend with another packed schedule on CBS Sports Network as conference title races intensify across the country. Two games were played on Friday, with three more scheduled for Saturday as the first week of October kicks off what has been a convincing season nationwide so far.

Starting off Friday, the UTSA defeated hosts Middle Tennessee 45-30 as the Blue Raiders came out flat for both teams after Miami’s upset last week in the opener of Conference USA. Then, in a late-night showdown at Mountain West, a much-improved UNLV team hosted New Mexico at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. (recap)

Saturday’s triple-header begins at Army, where the Black Knights host winless Georgia State in a battle of teams looking for traction after tough starts. Then in the afternoon, Fresno State returns to play at UConn after a bye week. Finally, Wyoming hosts the state of San Jose in a nightcap in a battle in Mountain West.

Here’s the full rundown of all Week 5 action on CBS Sports Network. All times Easter

State of Georgia in the Army

Storylines: These teams are a 1-6 combination, but probably better than their records suggest. Georgia State fell to 0-4 with a 41-24 loss to Coastal Carolina last week, but the Panthers also started 1-4 last season before rallying for an 8-5 season. Army defeated Villanova 49-10 for their first win two weeks ago and had last week off. These teams split their previous two meetings in 2019 and 2021.

State of Fresno at UConn

Date: Saturday 1 Oct | Time: 3:30 p.m
Location: Pratt & Whitney Stadium—East Hartford, Connecticut
TV: CBS sports network [Channel finder]
Live broadcast: CBSSports.com | Cell phone, mobile phone: CBS Sports App
Spread: State of Fresno -24 | Will the Bulldogs cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 5 predictions

Storylines: When Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener was carted off the field in the Bulldogs’ loss at USC two weeks ago, the prospect of his return this season looked bleak. But Fresno State coach Jeff Tedford said this week that Haener is now “week in and week out” with an ankle injury. Regardless of whether he plays UConn or not, the Bulldogs (1-2) should have enough firepower to get past a UConn roster that has been outplayed 100-10 against Michigan and NC State in the past two weeks.

State of San Jose Wyoming

Date: Saturday 1 Oct | Time: 19:30 o’clock
Location: War Memorial Stadium – Laramie, Wyoming

Storylines: San Jose State followed up its near-upset Auburn in Week 2 with a 34-6 win over Western Michigan last week while holding the Broncos to just 201 total yards. The Spartans are 2-1 and making their Mountain West debut against a Wyoming team who are 3-2 (1-0 MWC) after a 38-24 loss at BYU last week. The Cowboys beat the Air Force 17-14 in Week 3 to start league play.
