If Haaland can’t go, it would be Julian Alvarez get in front. The only other concern for Guardiola is the centre-back John Steine who has been sidelined for a few weeks with a foot injury.
Guardiola will have to make decisions at left-back Nathan Ake And Rico Lewis are available, or Ake could also step in if Guardiola chooses a three-man formation. Even for a midfielder, switching to a four-man defender formation would be a bitter sacrifice Ilkay Gundogan or Bernhard Silvaunless he falls Jack Grealish to put Silva out instead.
