Arsenal maintained their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table at the weekend.

After Manchester City put the pressure on Mikel Arteta’s men with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, Arsenal responded with a comfortable 3-0 win over Fulham the following day.

It was one of her best performances of the campaign. Arsenal completely dominated the Cottagers, who are having an excellent season themselves, and led 3-0 at the break.

This weekend they have the chance to extend their lead to eight points. Arsenal meet Crystal Palace, who are without a win in 2023, on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Manchester City will not play in the Premier League due to their FA Cup commitments.

Until then, Arsenal have a chance to reach the quarter-finals of the Europa League. At some point, they may need to focus fully on their title bias.

But for now at least, Arsenal can afford to split their attention between the two competitions, even if the Premier League is high on their list of priorities.
