More than ever, Hollywood feels like the center of the universe this week as the arrival of the year’s two biggest films coincides with a historic actors’ strike.
Anticipation for Greta Gerwig Barbie and Christopher Nolans Oppenheimer has reached a peak ahead of their joint release on July 21st.
While OppenheimerThe critical reviews are over Barbie With a near-perfect Rotten Tomato score, the latter is expected to actually overtake the former in ticket sales.
Barbie The film is estimated to gross $110 million at the US box office in its opening weekend Oppenheimer expected to bring in $50 million.
axios reported this week that tickets to the Margot Robbie-directed feature film about the famous toy doll are already sold out in theaters in Texas, Washington DC and Atlanta.

Is Barbie kid friendly?
Although it would be easy to assume that Barbie is intended for children. Given the source material, some parents may need more information on the PG-13 rating (equivalent to a 12A rating in the UK).
A PG-13 rating is generally given to titles that, according to the Motion Pictures Association (MPA), “contain material that may be unsuitable for children under the age of 13.”
Barbie received this predicate for “suggestive references and short language”.

Oppenheimer Star Cillian Murphy has reacted to the news that a new 28 days later Sequel seems to happen.
In June, the film’s director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland revealed plans for a sequel to their hit 2000 horror film 28 days laterin which Murphy played the lead role of Jim.

Margot Robbie, an Australian, briefly forgets what “Barbie” means in Australia
Oops, it looks like Margot Robbie has been spending too much time away from her native Australia.
During an appearance on Australia’s Channel 10 The project On the talk show, co-host Sam Taunton mentioned to Greta Gerwig that the word “Barbie” doesn’t refer to the country’s iconic doll.
He said: “It means so much to so many people. I’m not sure if Margot told you, but the word “Barbie” means something different in Australia. Have you informed Greta about this?”
But Robbie, who was born in the rural town of Dalby in Queensland, Australia, looked confused and asked, “What does this mean?”

Oppenheimer has not yet received a theatrical release date in Japan
Oppenheimer will be released worldwide on Friday (July 21), however, there is still no information on when the historical epic will be released in Japan.
Christopher Nolan’s film depicts the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, which killed around 200,000 people.
Although there is currently no known release date for the film in Japan, theories that the film will not be released in theaters there have been debunked.
