Bixby Not Working? Here’s How to Train Bixby to Respond to Your Voice

Bixby is Samsung’s native voice assistant that comes preinstalled on all Samsung phones and tablets. And while it might not be the best voice assistant out there, it’s quite underrated given the things it can do.
However, one thing that keeps us from recommending it is that sometimes it’s unresponsive and won’t wake up to your voice. In this quick guide, we will show you how to make Bixby better recognize your voice on your Samsung device to make it more useful.
How to get Bixby to recognize your voice
There are a lot of things you can do with Bixby such as: B. Change device settings, play music, set timers, ask questions, call people, get weather forecasts, launch your Bixby routines, and pretty much everything you’d want in a voice assistant.
But to do those things, Bixby should actually wake up when you say the hotword “Hi Bixby.” Unfortunately, Bixby isn’t as responsive as Google Assistant and sometimes fails to trigger. Also, some users complain that Bixby tends to wake up unprompted.
This is annoying, but luckily there is a way to fix it. Follow these steps:
- Open the Bixby app and tap settings Symbol.
- Beat voice wake-up and turn on recognize voice.
- Press beginning and follow the on-screen instructions, then tap Finished once the session is over.
Your voice is now registered with Bixby and should make the Voice wake-up trigger more consistent. If it’s still not good enough, you can continue training Bixby with a tap Improve voice activation accuracy and recording more samples. The more samples you record, the better Bixby gets.
If Bixby frequently wakes up on your phone unprompted (i.e. without your explicit command), consider lowering the wake sensitivity by dragging the slider to the left (Low). To avoid fumbling, we recommend storing it Speak seamlessly turned off so you get audible feedback after activating Bixby.
Train Bixby to be more responsive to you
While Google Assistant is better at conducting continuous conversations, Bixby is better at controlling your Samsung phone and connected devices thanks to its deep integration with the Galaxy ecosystem. But its intelligence is useless if Bixby doesn’t even reply to you.
Luckily, you can train Bixby to better recognize your voice by following the steps above. When you’re done, try waking it up again by saying the hotword.
