Bradley Beal trade details: Suns acquire Wizards star, send out Chris Paul in blockbuster deal
The Wizards are going in a new direction.
Bradley Beal will be traded to the Suns after completing the first season of his historic Supermax extension. according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, who reported on Sunday that Phoenix is expected to send Chris Paul and Landry Shamet to Washington. The Wizards also get multiple second-round picks and pick swaps. per Wojnarowski.
The deal may not be official for a few days, but Beal will reportedly waive his no-trade clause to form a star trio with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. The Suns will collectively pay more than $160 million in salaries to Beal, Booker, Durant and Deandre Ayton next season.
The Wizards selected Beal as the No. 3 pick in the 2012 NBA draft. In his 12 seasons in Washington, he was selected for three All-Star selections and one NBA selection, averaging 22.1 points, 4.3 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game.
Beal exits the Wizards as the second-best goalscorer in the franchise and all-time leader in 3-pointers scored. Only Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld played more games in the Wizards jersey than Beal.

While Beal had long declared his loyalty to the wizards, Recent reports suggested so that his time in the franchise could be coming to an end if President Michael Winger decides to reshuffle the roster after two straight seasons of missing the playoffs.
