“Brianna Ghey’s death was a tragedy waiting to happen”

“It’s not clear if the fact that she was trans was a factor in the events in Linear Park, Warrington, but the shock of her death has gripped the trans community.

“I can’t help but feel like this kind of tragedy was just waiting to happen. Anyone who has followed the Conservative Leadership Contest will have seen the candidates compete with each other to start a “debate” about the life of trans people; and those are the feelings I deal with every day as Britain’s only transdiscrimination advocate.”
