Buffalo Bills vs. Titans Week 2: Gabe Davis Injury Update, How to Watch, Betting Odds
The Buffalo Bills welcome the Tennessee Titans to Orchard Park for Monday Night Football when the Bills play prime time in front of a national television audience for the second straight week.
The Bills ride high after a 31-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1 of Thursday Night Football while the Titans look for a comeback after Sunday’s 21-20 loss to the New York Giants.
However, the Buffalo Bills have some injury problems.
Wide receiver Gabe Davis suffered an ankle injury at the end of the week and is officially listed as questionable for the game. And on defense, Buffalo defensive tackle Ed Oliver (ankle), defensive tackle Tim Settle (calf) are listed as iffy, and cornerback Dane Jackson is questionable but plans to come through a knee injury.
The Bills meet a motivated Tennessee Titans team at Highmark Stadium on Monday night. The star-studded game marks the second straight week that the Bills are playing in prime time after beating the Los Angeles Rams while the Titans try to recover from a loss to the New York Giants.
Quarterback Josh Allen has emerged as one of the league’s premier dual-threat signal callers as he starts under center in a year that could be MVP caliber. The Bills’ strong offense also features Devin Singletary as a running back and Stefon Diggs as a receiver.
Offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey called his first game Thursday and got Allen’s approval.
“I think Coach Dorsey called a Heckuva game,” Allen said. “It’s his first live action. I’m proud of him for handling those situations the way he did. We were 90% in third place. That is a recipe for success.”
The Buffalo defense could be tested by one of the league’s best running backs in Tennessee’s Derrick Henry. Despite his quiet 82 rushing yards in the Titans’ Week 1 loss to the Giants, Buffalo can expect the game in progress to be the focus for Tennessee.
The Bills look to continue their dominance on defense after conceding the fewest points and yards in the NFL last season, including No. 1 against pass, under defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier.
