Two early examples of the Bugatti Veyron hypercars, consisting of a 16.4 Coupé and a Grand Sport, have been given new life thanks to the French automaker’s official representative La Maison Pur Sang Restoration and Certification Program.
A customer from the United Arab Emirates, the two Veyron siblings spent nine months with Bugatti in Molsheim, where they underwent a revitalizing and meticulous reconfiguration and restoration programme.
The Bugatti Dubai showroom, the largest Bugatti dealership in the world, acted as the direct contact point for the customer and oversaw the entire Bugatti La Maison Pur Sang program for both the 16.4 Coupé and the Grand Sport.
Upon completion of the work, both models received a full Bugatti La Maison Pur Sang certification, ensuring that the work done on the two Veyrons is documented, while safeguarding the value and status of each specimen.
Luigi Galli, Bugatti Heritage and Certification Specialist, led both refurbishment programs:
“As it matures over time, the Veyron is now more appreciated than ever. This car was a masterpiece of automotive design and engineering that was light years ahead of its time when it was launched in 2005.
“That has remained the case to this day, which is why the Veyron is becoming more and more popular with collectors all over the world. To call it a modern classic is an understatement – the Veyron is a timeless collector’s item.
Throughout the process, the owner of the two Veyrons was in direct contact with the Bugatti team to ensure customer support and communication was realized at the highest level.
“It was an obvious decision for me to have these two beautiful Veyron specimens brought back to life by the Bugatti team as part of the incredible Bugatti Heritage program and to help preserve them for many more years of appreciation and enjoyment . As always, the craftsmanship and technology of the Bugatti team is world-class,” said the owner of the two Veyron siblings.
“I have valued these two Bugatti models alongside the other Molsheim hyper sports cars that are in our collection for many years. These two pioneering icons of performance, design and engineering are now well over a decade old, but their standing in the pantheon of automotive greats continues to grow. In my opinion, a Veyron must be kept in the best possible condition – this is the only way to pay tribute to such a groundbreaking Bugatti masterpiece,” added the loyal Bugatti customer and long-time brand enthusiast.
Bugatti said it has received ten (10) La Maison Pur Sang certifications in the last two years, adding that there are many exciting restoration projects coming up in the years to come.
