Dortmund versus Hertha Berlin

Dortmund is currently flying. They have won all six games in all competitions since the restart, scoring 16 times and conceding just five goals.

Edin Terzić’s side are just three points behind leaders Bayern Munich going into the weekend and host Hertha Berlin at Signal Iduna Park, where they have been incredibly strong this season.

They’ve won seven out of nine in front of their own fans, lost just once, and averaged 2.03 xGF and 0.85 xGA per game. BVB will then create chances here, especially against a team from Hertha Berlin who are fighting for their lives.

The capital side have lost seven of their nine away games, scoring 1.89 goals per game away from home, so the hosts should have plenty of opportunities here.

MARCO REUS has come back from injury in the last few weeks and he looks sharp, sharp enough that I want to support him MEET ANYTIME Here.

The German started in Dortmund’s last two games from an advanced 10’s and had a few chances at the end.

He has fired five shots in two games against Freiburg and Werder Bremen, scoring .62 and .30 xG in those encounters, respectively.

All of those attempts came from the 18 yard box which is a big plus for this bet as it shows he gets into dangerous positions and now BVB are playing with an absolute striker – be it Sebastien Haller or Youssoufa Moukoko – Reus has a foil to play off.

The club captain was an unused substitute in the Champions League midweek so will certainly get the nod here from the start.

Outcome Prediction: Dortmund 2-0 Hertha Berlin (Sky Bet odds: 7/1)

Frankfurt versus Werder Bremen

Frankfurt are in the hunt for a European spot this season and are sixth after 20 games and that leads me to believe they will be strong here too with a Champions League game coming up mid-week.

That wasn’t the case last season as they prioritized the Europa League over the Bundesliga – which worked as they went on to win the tournament – but The Eagle Didn’t get nearly as good a start as this season, so I expect them to juggle the two.

They were weak against 1. FC Köln last weekend but have impressed since the restart, winning both home games 3-0 against lower-half sides while they are in the top four at both Freiburg and Bayern Munich are, played a draw.

They’ve averaged 1.90 xGF per game at home this season, and against a weak-traveling Werder side, here’s where they can get the goals and a win.

However, with the price tag short for the hosts, we turn to the goalscoring markets, where RANDAL KOLO MUANI TO MEET ANYTIME appeals.

Only FC Koln’s Ellyes Skhiri has scored more goals than Muani since the restart, with his xG/95 average of 0.46 after the World Cup underscoring his penchant for sniffing out good scoring chances.

Werder are sending an average of 2.05 xGA per game while traveling, have been scored seven times by FC Köln and six by FC Bayern Munich in their last three away games and have conceded 15 goals in their last four away games, a whopping 3.15 xGA per game approved game!

Frankfurt, and Muani should have chances here.

Outcome Prediction: Frankfurt – Werder Bremen 3: 1 (Sky Bet odds: 7/1)

Odds correct at 1320 GMT (17/02/23)
