Cardiff crash latest news: Three bodies found in car after 5 people go missing in Wales

“I just can’t imagine the sadness of thinking about loved ones, it’s heartbreaking,” said one Facebook user.

“I am so sorry for your loss, thoughts and prayers are with you all as a family and with all families of lost young lives,” said another.

A third added: “I’m so sorry. She was stunning inside and out.”

A man has been arrested at the scene of the fatal accident on the A48.

Thomas Taylor, 47, from the Rumney area of ​​Cardiff, was arrested at the scene to prevent a breach of the peace, police said.

It is understood he was arrested after being told to leave the area.

Before his arrest, Mr Taylor, a film and television extra, told the PA News Agency: “When I heard the reports I just couldn’t believe that it was possible for a car to pull away and no one knew it were there,” he says.

“I still do not understand.

“It worries me and I feel for the families because from what I can tell from the reports they felt something was wrong and they reported it. Her instinct was right.

The mother of one of the women who went missing after a night out in Cardiff claims police told her to stop calling the station for updates.

She told that Daily Mail: “They didn’t seem to care. I had to go to Cardiff to knock on doors myself because they did everything. They just didn’t seem to think it was worth investigating. It was so frustrating.

“I think they assumed Sophie had a hangover somewhere, but she’s a sensible girl who works in a bank and hasn’t taken a day off for three years.

“She’s not someone who goes clubbing all the time in Cardiff. She tends to babysit on Friday nights so other people can go out. She wouldn’t just disappear like that unless something was wrong.

“The police have asked me to stop ringing the bell, but at the end of the day I’m a mother, I’m going to worry. Her little sister is worried too, she’s only 13 and wondering where Sophie is.”
