Celebrating Bill Russell’s All-Star resume: Records, stats and game log for Celtics legend

Bill Russell was the biggest winner in NBA history, winning 11 championships in 13 seasons with the Celtics. He had the ultimate team-first mentality, focused on defense and allowing Boston’s other stars to pick up points.

While he will always be associated with the Celtics’ incredible history, Russell’s legacy as a singles player should not be overlooked.

He was a five-time MVP, 11-time All-NBA selection, and 12-time All-Star. He missed only the All-Star cut as a rookie in 1956-57 and led the league in rebounding that season.

Ahead of this year’s All-Star Game, let’s take a look back at Russell’s history in the annual event, beginning with the 1958 competition.
