Chelsea 2-2 Everton LIVE! Premier League result, match stream, latest reaction and updates today
Chelsea’s momentum was halted ahead of the international break when Ellis Simms scored late to give Everton a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. The pressure on Graham Potter has been eased in recent weeks and with a Champions League quarter-finals next month the priority for the remainder of the season is not the Premier League.
But that result will be frustrating as Chelsea are just minutes away from their fourth straight win. Joao Felix put Chelsea ahead in the second half and although Abdoulaye Doucoure equalized for the Toffees, Kai Havertz quickly restored the lead with a penalty and continued his recent goalscoring form.
In the 89th minute, however, Simms proved too strong for Kalidou Koulibaly and then scored the finish to give Everton a crucial point that lifts them to 15th in the table.

GOAL! Chelsea 2-2 Everton | Ellis Simms 89′
OR NOT! SIMMS BALANCED!
Too strong for Koulibaly, in the penalty area and he squirms under Kepa!
88 minutes: Gray backtracks to close Chilwell, ends up giving away a foul and injuring himself in the process. Probably won’t bother next time.
Chelsea are doing a good job of preventing that, Everton can’t put late pressure on at the moment.
86 minutes: We won’t get anything in return for Kante tonight.
Two final changes for Chelsea, he’s not one of them. Felix and Fofana make way for the two while Chukwuemeka and Chalobah are introduced.
82 minutes: Loftus cheek on for Kovacic.
Everton almost equalized again, McNeil firing the ball over the six-yard box. Something between flank and shot, slips just past the far post.
