Clark Hunt’s net worth
Hunt reportedly has a net worth of nearly $2 billion. The Hunt family is said to have a combined net worth of approximately $15.5 billion.
Hunt’s grandfather, oil magnate HL Hunt, was one of the richest people in America during his lifetime and passed his fortune on to his 15 children. One of those children was Lamar Hunt, who was Clark’s father.
Hunt inherited the Chiefs, so the franchise can’t be called an investment on his part, but the organization seems to be growing in value quickly. Forbes valued the Chiefs at $3.7 billion in 2022, only 23rd among all franchises, but that was a huge increase from $2.9 billion in 2021 and $2.5 billion annually 2020

The Chiefs’ value has nearly doubled since 2016, and the presence of Patrick Mahomes along with the chance of multiple Super Bowl wins over a four-year period make Kansas City one of the most recognizable franchises in esports.
Ownership history of the chiefs
Clark Hunt’s father, Lamar Hunt, started the Chiefs in 1960 as the Dallas Texans. He pushed the NFL to allow a Dallas expansion franchise but was denied, so he formed the AFL and started the franchise in that league.
The AFL naturally later merged with the NFL after the Texans moved to Kansas City and became Chiefs.
Because Lamar was the founder of the AFL, the AFC Championship trophy, which the Chiefs have won three times in the past four years, is named after him.

The rest of Lamar’s family inherited the Chiefs when he died in 2006, but Clark is responsible for day-to-day operations as chairman and CEO. After lifting the trophy named in his father’s honor in January, he has his second chance to lift the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday.
