College Fantasy Football Sleepers 2022: Potential breakouts, draft-day steals

If there’s one thing besides a championship (or money) that every college fantasy football owner craves, it’s meeting a big sleeper. Everyone has a few potential breakout candidates that they feel are way down the ladder, and they can’t wait to draft that player with a big grin on their face.

It’s important to note that a “sleeper” could be someone you accept relatively early in the draft. It’s all about value. If you take an RB in the fourth round that you think should be a first or second round player, you can consider him a sleeper. For the most part, though, fantasy owners see “sleepers” as mid- or late-round picks that are far removed from everyone else.

Knowing that college fantasy leagues come in all sizes, we’ve got a mix of potential sleeper candidates at QB, RB, and WR below. College Fantasy Football QB Sleepers 2022: Potential breakout quarterbacks

DeQuan Finn, Toledo. Finn is a legitimate dual threat QB who has proven experience and fantasy production, but his ADP (average draft position) is in the 130-150 range. It’s grossly undervalued, so take advantage of it.

Clay Millen, Colorado State. The former four-star recruit transferred to Colorado State from Nevada with his coach and a couple of offensive linemen. Millen is expected to win the job and should excel with excellent options at wide receiver.

Cade Klubnik, Clemson. Before you label me DJ Uiagalelei, I’m cheering for the guy who finds out. Given his five-star talent and previous excellence as a freshman for Trevor Lawrence, DJU can be a star. The spring game did nothing to improve anyone’s opinion of last season’s stunning performance. Klubnik comes with five-star potential and great weapons. If DJU doesn’t look good in the first few games, Klubnik might get a start and not look back.

College Fantasy Football RB Sleepers 2022: Potential breakout running backs

Zach Evans, Ole Miss. At CFBDynasty we have Evans as our RB10. He is currently drafted in the late third round based on ADP for a 12-team league. He has NFL potential and was recently named the team’s best player on the cusp of a big season by an NFL scout.

Camar Wheaton, SMU. The former five-star recruit and transfer from Alabama practices at SMU. Wheaton should be the feature RB in an amazing offense.

Chase Brown, Illinois. Everyone who follows CFBDynasty on Twitter white, we love brown. Apparently not much has changed for Bret Beilema since his time in Wisconsin. Now in his second year at Illinois, we can’t wait to see how the offensive line has evolved to open up more holes for Brown in 2022.

College Fantasy Football WR Sleepers 2022: Potential breakout wide receivers

Tyrone Tracy, Purdue. Tracy will line up on the entire field, including running back, which we saw in the spring game. Expect the transfer to take his No. 119 ADP and far surpass it.

Ja’ Corey Brooks, Alabama. With JoJo Earle out for 6-8 weeks due to a foot injury, Brooks could serve as a target for Bryce Young. Brooks has excellent speed and size, making him an ideal target from anywhere on the pitch.

BeauxCollins, Clemson. Collins showed brilliant flashes for a passing attack that didn’t overwhelm last season. With the passing game potentially improved, expect Collins to make a big leap in 2022.
