Copa Libertadores group stage draw 2023: Results, teams, and schedule for all 32 clubs

The 2023 Copa Libertadores campaign can begin in earnest after the group stage draw for the 64th edition of South America’s most prestigious club competition took place.

Only the top two teams from each group advance to the round of 16, with the third-placed team falling back to the Copa Sudamericana for a knockout round playoff against the second-placed teams of that tournament.

Current Libertadores champions Flamengo will face defending champions from Ecuador Aucas, Argentine runners-up Racing and Chilean runners-up Nublense in a challenging Group A.

There is only one group in which two teams from the same country meet: Athletico Paranaense and Atletico Mineiro meet in Group G. They are favorites against Paraguay’s 2022 Apertura champions Libertad and current Peruvian champions Alianza Lima.
