Cristiano Ronaldo’s Mother Stuns With One-Liner to Son’s Old Club

Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved unrivaled success in an incredibly stellar career, playing for huge clubs around the world. He has won countless individual and club trophies for Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus. Cristiano hasn’t forgotten the club though, which has helped give him a platform to become the player he is today. Today his mother also showed how grateful she is for this club.

Cristiano Ronaldo was born in Madeira, Portugal in 1985. He was born to his mother, Dolores Aveiro, and father, Dinis Aveiro. Dinis Aveiro was a municipal gardener and also a war veteran. Ronaldo had a very difficult childhood, but he was also very interested in football. And Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon were there to offer him a chance.

Ronaldo made his official debut for Sporting Lisbon in the Portuguese league on 29 September 2002 as a 17-year-old winger. Many European clubs have noticed his rise at Sporting. They were looking for him. However, at the opening ceremony of the current Sporting stadium, Estadio Jose Alvalade, they invited Manchester United to a friendly match. Sporting won the game 3-1 and an 18-year-old winger led the show from the left wing.

Sir Alex Ferguson was mighty impressed and signed him on 12 August 2003 giving him the legendary Manchester United number 7. And boy did he give that shirt a different height? When he left the club after six successful years, he left a legacy that is second to none. All thanks to Sporting to give Cristiano the platform he needed. Cristiano Ronaldo and his mother Dolores Aveiro are still grateful to them to this day.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother wished Sporting Lisbon the best of luck ahead of their Europa League clash

Dolores Aveiro was one of the most important parts of Cristiano Ronaldo’s career. She gave him the emotional support he needed to become the player he is. She showed her love for Ronaldo and Sporting Lisbon when Cristiano scored twice in the Nations League game against Switzerland. Dolores broke down in tears after Ronaldo scored his second goal at Estadio Jose Alvalade, home of Sporting Lisbon.

A few hours ago today, Dolores Aveiro posted a picture of her on the roof of a house on her Instagram account. In the caption, she tagged Sporting Lisbon. The post says “Good morning good luck @sportingclubedeportugal we are together.” She most likely wished Sporting luck for tonight’s Europa League second leg against Midjytland.

Later, there were rumors about Ronaldo’s return to Sporting after his Manchester United saga. However, it’s almost clear that the Portuguese will do what he can to help his youth club in the future.
