Crypto Market At 1.07 Trillion, Bitcoin Loses 0.15%, Ethereum Dips 0.40%

Cryptocurrency prices fell 0.38 percent Tuesday morning after yesterday’s gains. The market was dragged down by losses in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other altcoins.

The global crypto market fell on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 after yesterday’s gains. The market was weighed down by losses in Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH) and other altcoins.

According to coinmarket.com, the entire crypto market fell to $1.07 trillion as of 11:00 a.m. IST Tuesday, down 0.50 percent from yesterday. Total crypto market volume increased by 28.66 percent to $45.33 billion in the last 24 hours.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) was the top trending crypto, but the top gainer of the day was NEM (XEM) up 29.06 percent to $0.05642. The biggest loser was Conflux (CFX), down 7.77 percent to $0.215.

Bitcoin: BTC fell 0.15 percent to $23,405. A sharp drop in BTC price was recorded on February 28, 2023 at 21:00 IST when the price dropped from $23,840 to $23,276 in an hour.

In the last 24 hours, the trading volume increased by 24 percent to 21.9 billion. BTC dominance currently stands at 42.3 percent.

Ethereum: ETH price fell 0.40 percent to $1,629.06.

Ethereum went green early Monday after trading in the red for many days. But at 11:20 p.m. IST it returned to red. The price dropped from $1,637 to $1,616 in two hours. Since then, ETH has not recovered. ETH trading volume increased by 15 percent to $6.9 billion.

Other Altcoins

Solana (SOL) is down 2.57 percent at $22.40.

In 24-hour trading, Ripple (XRP) price rose 0.35 percent to $0.3778 and its trading volume increased by 81 percent.

Cardano (ADA) is up 0.48 percent to $0.3649. After a 16.08 percent increase, the 24-hour trading volume reached $235 million.

Binance (BNB) fell 0.67 percent to $304.02. 24-hour trading volume increased 15 percent to $391 million.

Dogecoin is up 0.80 percent to $0.08233 and its 24-hour trading volume is up 44.55 percent.

Shiba Inu is down 2.05 percent at $0.00001251.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) is down 3.16 percent despite its 24-hour trading volume falling 2.97 percent.

Avalanche (AVAX) is down 2.58 percent to $17.73 despite its 24-hour trading volume increasing 32 percent.

Aave (AAVE) traded at $79.20, down 3.68 percent.
