Disney Dreamlight Valley – How To Raise Friendship Fast
Find out how to build friendship in Disney Dreamlight Valley is essential if you want to progress quickly. To unlock new areas to explore outside of the meadow, you must reach at least rank five in your relationship with three villagers.
Aside from discovering new places to explore, increasing your friendship level with Mickey and the gang will help open up new character quests, allowing you to get to know the people of Dreamlight Valley even better – and learn some handy recipes along the way.
Note: It is also worth considering that the update on the day of release seems to have made Dreamlight Valley a bit more unstable on Switch. Make sure you save before you put your system to sleep as there is a good chance the software will crash if you wake it up again.
How to make friends fast in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Give the best gifts every day
You may have noticed the green banner that says “New”. on the gift icon when chatting with your neighbors every day. Dreamlight Valley doesn’t actually tell you what it means, but it’s a reminder that the character’s preferred gifts have changed with the new tag.
Each character has three gifts they wish to receive each daythat appears in the lower-right corner of the screen when you select a gift to gift.
Giving them gives you a significant friendship bonus, usually enough to fill the friendship meter at least halfway.
It seems like at least one of the three is always something basic that you can get even in the early game, like Crackers or Oregano. The other two are – based on our experience so far – rarer items or materials that are tied to a specific domain, such as: B. Oysters. So don’t expect to get your hands on these for a while.
You will only receive the bonus if you give the preferred gift for the first time on a given day. If you give it again, the game will just treat it like a normal gift.
Spend time together
Ask your chosen friend to hang out with you for a while. Completing a quest while hanging out with a character gives you a slight boost in friendship, so it’s an easy way to rank up as you complete your daily quests.
For a bigger bonus, this is what you should focus on do the activity that your chosen friend specializes in – Mining, Fishing or whatever you choose. It’s not nearly as expansive as gifting her favorite items for the day, but it’s a decent addition for advancing those ranks.
Complete character quests
This is probably something you will of course do anyway, but it needs to be mentioned. Whenever there is a character quest to complete, make sure you do it. Aside from unlocking new recipes, completing these quests will give you a hefty friendship bonus.
