Edwards vs Usman 3 LIVE! UFC 286 stream, fight updates and latest results from London

dwards vs Usman 3 – LIVE!

The UFC returns to London tonight as Leon Edwards takes on Kamaru Usman again in the octagon. The pair will complete a stunning trilogy at the O2 Arena with the UFC welterweight title at stake once again.

Birmingham native Edwards knocked the dominant Usman unconscious with a brilliant spinning kick in August at UFC 278 to avenge his initial loss to the Nigerian Nightmare in 2015. Whether lightning can strike twice remains to be seen. Usman should be considered one of the greatest of all time ahead of this loss and will be desperate for revenge tonight. Still, home support could be a big factor for Edwards.

The biggest ever UFC event in British history also has a stacked fight card. Marvin Vettori grabbed a win before Justin Gaethje takes on Rafael Fiziev in the co-main event and also Gunnar Nelson returns after his performance in London last year. Follow UFC 286: Edwards vs. Usman 3 live below!

Maia vs O’Neill

round 1

The first takedown attempt comes from Maia but is well defended by O’Neill.

But Maia’s knee is good, she’s top at the moment. Sharp start. Catches O’Neill again as the Aussie closes the gap.

And that for the first five minutes. Maia took it, although anyone can guess what the judges sometimes see.

Maia vs O’Neill

round 1

Action packed first minute, lots of throwing by both fighters. Maia lands the cleaner shots.

Both have no interest in grappling yet, both sticking to the punches and occasional kicks.

Many instructions come from Maia’s corner – unfortunately I don’t have any Portuguese knowledge to offer.

Right, let’s move on. Casey O’Neill is in the octagon, the Australian comes into play 9-0.

Jennifer Maia will be joining her shortly – she has lost four of her last seven fights.

Big news for Silva

It was just announced that Anderson Silva would be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

This should always happen – will happen in July during International Fight Week. Bigger than Silva is hardly possible in sports!

Stars are out and about in London

Next – Jennifer Maia vs Casey O’Neill. Women’s flyweight action.

And there are a few famous faces in attendance to see it!

Vettori by unanimous decision!

Here’s the decision.

29-28, 29-28 and 30-27 for the winner… Marvin Vettori!

Lots of boos from the crowd, they’re not impressed with those scorecards. Could have gone either way – no idea where 30-27 came from.

Vettori against Dolidze

round 3

It’s Dolidze who takes charge in the last few minutes.

He starts landing those heavy shots again, but the following overhand right gets blocked. Vettori still sticks to those leg kicks.

And the straight left lands by Vettori. Dolidze’s leg is badly injured from being kicked.

Some wild attempts with the right hand from Dolidze late – and they go the distance! I suppose Dolidze may have just blown it away.

Vettori against Dolidze

round 3

Here we go then. Anything to play in the last five minutes.

A cautious start could boil down to who has the better engine, but not much of that is being thrown at the moment either.

Better from Dolidze, landing a couple of big punches in quick succession.

Ronnie O’Sullivan in the building!
