Equine Sport Center Olomouc Welcomes Back International Dressage for 2023 CDI3*/CDI-W Competition

The Equine Sport Center Olomouc in the Czech Republic is pleased to welcome again athletes from all over Europe for its second consecutive international 3-star dressage competition and World Cup qualification tournament from 11th to 14th May 2023.

With excellent facilities and show conditions and a top-class floor jury, the CDI Olomouc 2023 will be the perfect way for combinations to gain kilometers, experience and qualifying points for the summer championships.

With years of experience in hosting national and international show jumping competitions, Equine Sport Center Olomouc ventured into the world of dressage by successfully hosting a CDI 3* and World Cup qualifier last year.

Among others, world-famous Grand Prix riders such as Simone Pearce and Peter Gmoser as well as Central and Eastern European stars such as Alisa Glinka and Sandra Sysjeva were there.

The very positive reception of the CDI Olomouc 2022 motivated Managing Director Kristýna Koutná to bring Olomouc back to the 2023 FEI calendar with a 3-star competition and a qualification for the World Cup of the Central European League.

Bring back the action

The Equine Sport Center Olomouc is considered the most exclusive equestrian center in the Czech Republic with its all-weather range in all arenas, fixed boxes for the competition horses, a tack shop and a restaurant on site. Indoor and outdoor warm-up and training arenas are available for drivers.

Known for its friendly atmosphere and good implementation of its arenas, the equestrian center is located a 10-minute walk from the historic city center of Olomouc, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and close to hotels and shopping centers.

The CDI 3* will offer classes at all levels, from young horses to children, ponies, juniors, young riders and U25 levels, as well as the small and large senior tour (1*, 2* and 3*), including a CDI -W World Cup Qualification.

Backed by experience

Return Event Director is Thomas Baur, a very experienced organizer of dressage competitions in Europe and the USA and director of the Global Dressage Festival. As Sport Director Dressage at the 2023 World Cup finals in Omaha, Baur will be an experienced eye on site.

The President of the Floor Jury is Gabriela Valeriánová (4*CZE), complemented by an experienced jury including Elisabeth Max-Theuer 5*AUT, Maarten van der Heijden 4*NED, Christof Umbach 5*LUX and Katrina Wüst 5*GER.

Van der Heijden will be fresh off the 2023 World Cup jury, while Katrina Wüst was president of the floor jury at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics.

National associations can register their riders for international dressage competitions in Olomouc. Application deadline is April 28th.
