F1 Italian Grand Prix qualifying – Start time, how to watch, channel

Ferrari appear to have an early advantage over their rivals at Monza after topping both Friday’s practice sessions with drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

Not only did Red Bull duo Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez lag behind the Ferraris in practice, they are also carrying grid penalties this weekend after taking on additional power unit elements beyond their all-season allotment. Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Sainz are also among the drivers affected by starting penalties.

All of this means Leclerc has a good chance of securing Ferrari’s first win on his home turf since his last triumph in 2019.
