Fans go wild for Drake’s Son Adonis, 5, crashing the rapper’s latest interview
Drake’s son Adonis crashed his father’s latest interview and fans are obsessed with the joint performance.
In a joint interview with his son Adonis on Sunday at Barstool Sports, host Caleb Pressley, 5, opened up about how his rapper dad is at home.
Adonis said of Drake: “That’s a funny dad” and explained that “he makes a lot of funny jokes”.
Comedian Caleb then grilled Adonis for being nice or mean to other kids and meddling in fights.
“Have you ever hit anyone in the balls?” Pressley asked. “No, never,” Adonis replied after he burst out laughing. “That’s funny,” he added.
Adonis then said, “They fought me, so I fight them,” before adding that he pushed someone to the ground.
The fans eagerly awaited the joint interview on Twitter. One wrote: “The interview with Drake and his son is AMAZING”
Another said: “Drake interview with his son was cute lol”
A third added: “Bro the interview with drake and his son is the best on youtube rn lmao”
Drake shares Adonis with Sophie Brussaux, a French artist. The pair were first spotted together in January 2017, and Brussaux became pregnant with Adonis not long after.
For a while, Drake maintained his son’s privacy, going so far as not to post a picture of him until more than 2 years after his birth.
However, he did mention that he had a son in the lyrics of the 2018 track titled March 14th.
“Yesterday was crazy / I had to accept that it’s not a maybe / It’s carved in stone, sealed and signed / She’s not my lover like Billie Jean, but the child is mine,” raps Erpel.
Drake has referenced Adonis’ upbringing in his material, including on several tracks on his 2021 album Certified Lover Boy.
The song Champagne Poetry includes the lyrics, “I’ve been hot since my son was born” and “Co-parent of the year/ We found a relationship.”
The song Papi’s Home includes the lyrics, “See your mother raised a fine young man / Daddy’s Home / And I know I’ve missed so much of your life.”
On the track F***ing Fans, Drake rapped about finding out he was going to be a father, with the lyrics: “Then I had a kid, although I never meant to / I can’t imagine when your girls.” brought you this news. ‘
At the Billboard Music Awards in Los Angeles in May 2021, Drake was named Artist of the Decade and brought Adonis on stage to accept the honors. As Adonis began to cry, Drake said to him, “I want to dedicate this award to you.”
Adonis previously admitted he’s quite confident he’ll be “taller” than his father Drake when he’s older.
In an adorable video shared to Instagram, the Certified Lover Boy rapper discussed their possible height differences in the future with his four-year-old son.
“Do you think you’ll get taller than me,” Drake asked his toddler.
Despite his age, Adonis replied with a very confident “yes”.
At the start of the conversation, Adonis was curious if his father would “grow much taller” than he already is, which Drake assured him was unlikely.
“When you’re my age, how tall will you be?” asked Drake, but Adonis seemed more interested in showing off his knowledge of French.
“You want me to teach you how to speak en France?” he replied. Then he spoke a few phrases in Romansh to his father, who did his best to emulate them.
