FIFA 23 Early Access: How to play the game before release on Xbox & PlayStation

Ahead of the release of FIFA 23 at the end of September, players will have a few early access options available.

Here’s how you can get your hands on the game ahead of the standard release.

FIFA 23 Early Access: How to Play the Game Before Release

There are three main methods of early access to FIFA 23, with beta users currently testing the game ahead of release.

For those not selected to participate in the beta program, there are two alternatives.

FIFA 23 Beta Codes

FIFA 23 beta codes have already been sent to select players in the UK and US.

Typically, those who subscribed to EA emails were among the people who received a code.

The “closed beta” currently runs until September 1st and is only available on PlayStation and Xbox (not on Switch, PC or Stadia).

Preorder FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition

If you pre-order FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition, you can play the game before its release.

Those who have pre-ordered get three days of early access 09/27 before the standard version is released 09/30.

This applies to both Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

An alternative method to get early access is to become a member of EA Play.

This gives players a chance to try out the game 09/27 but will be limited to that 10 hours of gameplay.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members also get the same trial access.

Will there be a FIFA 23 demo?

It is unlikely that there will be a demo version for FIFA 23.

While it used to be common practice for EA Sports to release a demo game, the last two editions broke that trend and will continue again this time.

FIFA 23 release date: when will the game be released?

According to EA Sports’ July 20th announcement, FIFA 23 will be released Friday, 09/30/2022with the Ultimate Edition pre-release being available three days earlier Tuesday, 09/27

Is FIFA 23 the last game in the franchise?
