Two of New Zealand’s leading media companies, Stuff and Sky Television, are teaming up for a special multimedia cross-channel offering dedicated to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

The partnership will reach New Zealand’s largest sports audience ever and showcase the global women’s sporting event, which will be staged in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Australia from 20 July to 20 August.

A dedicated multimedia hub on Stuff will feature 26 livestream games as well as the latest on and off-field news from Stuff’s sports, news, business and lifestyle journalists.

The hub will also feature interactive power rankings and expert commentary from Sky and Stuff.

Sky customers have access to all 64 matches live on Sky Sport and Sky Sport Now, along with special tournament shows and highlights. The 26 games, which will be broadcast on Prime and streamed live on Stuff, will include all New Zealand games, two quarter-finals, the two semi-finals and the final.

Stuff Chief Executive Sinead Boucher said the partnership will bring together brilliant sports coverage across Stuff and Sky.

“The Fifa Women’s World Cup will be bigger than any sporting event we’ve seen in Aotearoa and the combination of the power of Sky and Stuff means we can reach a larger audience than ever before.”

Sky boss Sophie Moloney said the tournament, which brings together the best football talent from 32 countries around the world for 64 matches, is a significant opportunity to improve coverage of women’s sport in New Zealand.

The partnership offers commercial opportunities for companies looking to showcase their business to a meaningful audience, with advertising packages offering unprecedented reach on both Sky and Stuff channels.

Stuff and Sky are two of New Zealand’s largest media companies, collectively reaching 89% of New Zealanders over the age of 15, a total of 3.7 million people, and reaching 90% of New Zealand’s sports audience and 92% of business purchase decisions each month. Decision makers and 89% of 25-54 year olds.

Bundles will be available shortly and interested brands will need to act quickly to ensure they are a part of this world-class event.

The multimedia hub on Stuff will launch on July 1 while Sky is underway developing bespoke shows and stories to highlight the stars of the tournament.
