Zach Braff and Florence Pugh ended their romantic relationship of 3 years in the second half of 2022. The film follows the life of a young and bright woman with a seemingly perfect life that collapses due to an unimaginable tragedy that leads to opioid addiction and unresolved grief. The film, which Braff wrote during the pandemic, has garnered a so-so reaction in theaters, leaving critics and audiences unimpressed. To quote Peter Bradshaw The guard,
“In his dual roles as writer and director, Zach Braff here subjects us to an ordeal of haunting made-up nonsense: a masturbatory calvary of surrogate empathy and emotional well-being.”
To add salt to the wound, the film debuted with a mere 50 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, one of the first barometers by which audiences gauge a film’s success. The lukewarm reactions during the opening weekend are also a worrying sign for Florence Pugh. The talented actor, meanwhile, has been at the center of controversy with Olivia Wilde don’t worry darling when she accused Wilde, the film’s director, of reducing her role to sex scenes. After a tumultuous period, Pugh would have hoped to erase those memories with a positive response to a good person which unfortunately didn’t happen.

Florence Pugh has also returned the sentiments and praised them scrubs Stern during an interview for Good morning America Saying,
“Zach wrote an amazing screenplay that fits with how we deal with sad times.”
The heartfelt support both stars have given one another has garnered some positive reviews, with some critics praising the film and its hard-hitting realism.
