Cristiano Ronaldo was bullied by his Al-Nassr teammates after scoring the opening goal with a precision finish against Al-Wehda.

Ronaldo struggled to get going in his early games in Saudi Arabia but his enduring class was for all to see against Al-Wehda. After hitting the bull’s eye in his third game last week, the former Manchester United man now appears to have found his step.

Ronaldo made it 1-0 after Gerson Rodrigues hit the post with a shot for Al-Wehda at the other end. He conceded a through ball from his teammate, turned into the box and fired a powerful low shot over the goalkeeper into the bottom corner.

Ratcliffe steps up Man Utd efforts

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has stepped up his efforts to buy Manchester United by hiring Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan to advise him during the takeover process.

Britain’s richest man confirmed in January that he would try to wrest control of Old Trafford from the Glazer family, who announced they would sell the club in November. Ratcliffe was the first party to go public with his interest, but reports earlier this week claimed he would face competition from a group of Qatari investors.
