Collision warning and avoidance system

New to concept form is a collision warning and avoidance system designed to improve operator awareness on the job site. Compatible with select Bobcat compact track loaders and skid steer loaders, the technology tracks an object’s position, direction and speed relative to the machine. With the active or passive setting, the operator can receive an audible alarm or have the machine stop automatically when it detects an object in its path. The solution, which is still in product development, is expected to be available to customers in 2024.

Excavators with Bobcat Intelligent Control System

Bobcat presents one of its latest technology concepts: Bobcat Intelligent Control System. The new intelligent controls used on an E60 excavator improve machine control and operation. With more customization of work modes, operators can increase their performance and efficiency when grading, ditching, swinging and other precision work. The new Drive by Joystick mode allows the operator to use the joysticks to drive, similar to the selectable joystick controls on a Bobcat loader. The Bobcat Intelligent Control System on compact excavators will continue to drive future innovations such as advanced depth control capabilities, remote control via Bobcat MaxControl and autonomous functions.

New solutions for advanced display technology

With its transparent touch display, Bobcat shows the future of its advanced display technology. The conceptual heads-up display, which also allows the operator to view the job site, can be mounted on the windscreen or a side cab window on a range of Bobcat machines, including compact excavators, telehandlers and loaders. The display increases operator productivity and efficiency in the task at hand.

Bobcat MaxControl remote control

With Bobcat MaxControl, operators can control their loader via an app on an iOS smartphone or tablet, enabling operation outside of the cab.

New to this innovative offering, originally launched in 2021, is a controller that operators can connect to their smartphone for easier remote control. The remote control features a tactical joystick and button functions like a video game controller. By moving the controls off the phone screen, operators can use the screen for enhanced control views.
