Fortnite Bytes Quests: How To Tune The TV, Find Chromed Vehicles, And More

The Fortnite Season 3 Chapter 4 Battle Pass includes an exclusive pickaxe that can only be used by the unlockable character Bytes. But even if you can only use the pickaxe on one character, Battle Pass owners can at least get some additional alternative styles for it starting this week via brand new Byte’s Quests. In this guide you will learn how to unlock Bytes Quests, how to complete them and what you earn for doing so.

How to Unlock Bytes Quests

To unlock Byte’s Quests you must have unlocked them first Nothing’s Gift pickaxe on the second page of this season’s Battle Pass. It will give you 7 stars to unlock, and once you get it you will be able to see the quests listed in the Bytes Quests tab in your Quests menu.

Bytes Quests and how to complete them

There are seven quests to complete to unlock all of The Nothing’s Gift pickaxe alternate styles. Each one unlocks after completing the previous one.

Tune in to the TV while wearing the Byte outfit

This can be done under either Shining Lagoon or only west of Herald’s Sanctum. While wearing any variation of the Bytes skin, go to one of the locations marked by the quest. If you are near the TV, an exclamation mark will appear, which you just need to hold down one button to set.

Damage opponents with Evo Chrome weapons

You need to dish out a total of 2,500 damage using Evo Chrome weapons which include the Evo Chrome Burst Rifle and Evo Chrome Shotgun. These are most easily found in heavily chromed areas and in chrome chests.

Driving distance in chromed vehicles

Use a Chrome Splash to chrome a vehicle, then drive it 5,000 meters. Repeat the process as needed until the quest is complete.

Walk through chromed structures in various named locations

Just go to Herald’s Sanctum, Shimmering Shrine, or Chrome Crossroads, then just go into any chrome wall and you’ll step straight through. Repeat this process by splattering walls in other named locations and then walking through them.

Search 20 Chrome Chests

Chrome Chests are commonly found in Herald’s Sanctum, Shimmering Shrine, or Chrome Crossroads. Simply loot 20 of them to complete this quest.

Deal 2,500 damage to Chrome beasts

You’ll find chromed wildlife scattered throughout the map, most commonly near chromed POIs. Damage them 2500 to complete this quest.

Eliminate 20 enemies in a chrome named location

Eliminate 20 players in Herald’s Sanctum, Shimmering Shrine, or Chrome Crossroads.

Chrome 10 opponents

Use a Chrome Splash on opponents 10 times. This can prove a little challenging during gunfights, so be prepared for a bit of chaos.

Bytes Quests rewards

For completing the quests, you will receive the following alternative styles for the “The Gift of Nothing” pickaxe:

• Dreadclaw
• Sharpened sunburst
• Razer Thorn
• Reaper’s Lament
• pike
• Chaotic edge
• The Thrasher
